Herdsires

Now, keep in mind, these are field pictures - no touchups, blow drying, toenail painting- just the real McCoy as you see them in the fields when you come to visit. Click on any picture to see more images and details about each alpaca.

Abracadabra - Abracadabra is a proven herdsire out of SAPeruvian Black Epic, one of the most outstanding herdsires in the country. His mother is a PPPeruvian Mr. President's daughter. Abe took reserve champion in his very first show, presiding over about 40 other fawn animals. He has only been shown twice since, taking a first and a third. (The third was because he had lost BOTH his front teeth(he's that age AND he had a little help from his friends) AND he had to be shorn for a SECOND time in late July (that's another story. May I recommend professional shearing for ALL your show animals!) Abracadabra will be standing at stud for a limited number of outside breedings this spring. His current stud fee is $2,000.
Bacchus - One more noteworthy junior herdsire in the making, officially known as Ameripaca's U.F.O. but renamed Bacchus to fit in with our wine theme, this cutie really is out of this world! His fleece is like air, really crimpy air if such a thing is possible, and why not. He is a Peruvian Challenger son and his mom, Ameripaca's Unity, is out of full Peruvian Mounsier D'Artagnan.
Enduro - This is a full accoyo white male with buttery soft, dense fiber that shows promise of replicating his sire's fleece, Camilio's Accoyo Endurance. With a grandsire as well-known as Camilio and a mom who is a Leon daughter, this little guy is sure to add both density and softness to your females, as soon as he cares about females, that is.
Maverick - Ahh! He's the one. Blame this whole adventure on Mav. One look at his eyes and I was trying to figure out how to take him home that minute in the back of the pickup! He's the "I'd rather get a hug and a kiss than eat" alpaca and is our Grand Ambassador. The owners could have sold both he and Luthien three dozen times before we came along; everyone loves them both, and they are the best of friends. I could not bear to separate them! Besides, our grandson would not allow us to start an alpaca farm without Maverick and Luthien on the premises. Maverick is a light fawn Macusani grandson with exceptional personality and dense fleece. He will be used for breeding the first time this spring, so he is available as a herdsire choice.

Maxwell - we have his mom on the premises as well and he is an exciting boy. He has a wonderful conformation and a sweet, gentle nature. He's a ribbon winner, two seconds in two tries, but he's a lover. Those darn ears don't go up in the show ring, but hey....he has lots of other assets. Like being a beautiful rose grey with a solid conformation. He will be an impressive herdsire on someone's farm. He's a ribbon winner, two seconds in two tries, but he's a lover. McDougal - This little cutie has way too much on the ball to just leave on the fields, so you'll be seeing him in the show ring, though we really are waiting for him to dense up just a tad! He's a Bolivian boy with Mr. Know It All as his sire, and this one certainly acts the part. He is an exciting light fawn junior herdsire with a charming personality. has a wonderful conformation and a sweet, gentle nature. McDoual is 3/4 Bolivian and 1/4 Peruvian.
Soliterre - This medium grey and white juvenile is built to last. Solid bone structure, superb fleece coverage down all four legs, and a herdsire "attitude" already, we have high hopes for this very crimpy young man. With black and grey genetics abounding, he's a likely bet to help bring out those sought after grey genetics. Though it's hard to tell at such a young age, we boldly proclaim him as future herdsire material for our farm. After all, Black Epic is his grandsire and GBF Abracadabra, a winner of multiple blue ribbons and a reserve championship, is his daddy, so he has much to live up to.
Trump - You’ve truly got the TRUMP card when you add this boy’s genes to your herd! This proven herdsire will truly deal you a winning hand! Trump is a Full Bolivian Dark Rose Grey male out of the very popular and winning herdsire, Legacy De Bolivia. The deep maroon and silvery grey tones are courtesy of his solid light grey sire. No white fibers here. He’s medium silver grey and maroon throughout his neck and blanket with defined crimp, good staple length and tiny bundles everywhere. Trump’s extremely consistent from shoulder to tail. Trump’s west cost genetics will offer new breeding options to your farm and give you the opportunity to target rose grey, silver grey and maroon crias. Colors that sell and sell well. Trump’s offspring are money in the bank!
