Merlot is a maroon with black markings who is an excellent mom with dense, crimpy fleece. She passes color through her apparently, so when bred to a grey she gave us a most gorgeous grey with her mom’s black markings. Merlot’s second cria was delivered in May, a med fawn Macusani great grandson out of farm Romeo, Maverick. Both cria she has delivered have wonderful personalities, excellent bite and conformation, and both are destined for the show ring. Merlot will be rebred this November to our champion herdsire, Abracadabra. Merlot’s parents were direct imports from Chile. Buyer will receive $2000 breeding credit to any available Virginia Alpaca Experience herdsire. |
